Bio
A gifted and award-winning author, orator and speaker who has shared her poetry and writings with local and national audiences for decades with excellent reviews and high acclaim. Connie is a writer who draws deeply from the wells of human experience. She is uniquely able to give voice to the joys and pains, struggles and triumphs that we all share, which seems to appeal to the masses.
Connie writes convincingly and movingly about countless experiences that are not only her own, but ones that others have shared with her, from the Vietnam vet to the abused child. She has been able to almost ‘ghost write’ the stories and testimonies of men and women from interviews and feature stories. Connie Marie Baker’s writings run the gamut, being expressive, therapeutic, pensive, revelatory, amusing, inspiring and on-point on a wide variety of subject matters relevant to our life experiences today. You can “take it personal”!
Of her many gifts and talents, Connie believes her poetry, monologues, skits, short stories, articles and booklets are designated to bless the Body of Christ internationally, as well as the society that is reaching out for a healing balm. As an ordained Evangelist, Connie is an advocate for family-focused counseling, entertainment and Christian education. Because many of her writings are considered therapeutic, Connie produced and published a booklet entitled “From Hell to Healing through Hope” by special request, which went into limited publication, for use in advanced counseling and mentorship classes sponsored by local and national ministries in 2006 and 2007. Connie is the founder of Yours Truly With Love, Unlimited, a ministry of caring and sharing since 1985, as well as the Haven for the Hurting Heart since 2007. These ministries seek to provide band-aids for broken hearts, listening ears, encouragement and whatever helps which may become available to the seeker.
